R. RANDALL BENTLEY, SR. was born in Marietta, Georgia, on January 16, 1959. He was admitted to practice before the State Bar of Georgia in 1984. He has been admitted to practice before the U. S. Court of Appeals, 5th Circuit; U. S. District Court, Northern District of Georgia; and U.S. Supreme Court.
Mr. Bentley graduated from Kennesaw College in 1977, received his B.B.A. in Marketing in 1981 from the University of Georgia, and received his law degree in 1984 from Georgia State University Law School. He was a member of Phi Alpha Delta and Phi Gamma Delta.
Mr. Bentley was named as one of Five Outstanding Young Georgians by the Junior Chamber of Commerce in 1992. He is listed in Who’s Who in America, South and Southwest and Who’s Who in the World.
Mr. Bentley has served as Solicitor for the City of Kennesaw since 1987, and as Solicitor for the City of Acworth since 1988. He presently serves as Director Emeritus of Charter Bank and Trust Co., is an Executive Board Member of The Walker School, and is on the Advisory Board of BMC Solutions. He served as Co-Chairman of the Masterpiece Ball in the Park for Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art and as Co-Chairman of A Night with the Stars for Cobb Family Resources in 1999. He was President of Leadership Cobb Alumni Association; member of Leadership Cobb, Cobb County Chamber of Commerce; and is a member of Honorary Commanders, a joint program with Cobb County Chamber and the Military. He is also a member of the Kennesaw Jaycees, Theatre on the Square, Cobb County and American Bar Associations and the State Bar of Georgia.
